Tibetan nomad families have tended their herds in this landscape for generations, and the hard conditions are what give the fibre its fineness. We have worked with these families directly and in person since 2015, so we know where the cashmere comes from and how it is gathered.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eFormat \u0026amp; ways to wear\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt 70 × 200 cm this is the classic pashmina size, and it can be worn several ways: draped around the neck, knotted as a sash, or thrown over the shoulders. It wraps and layers the way a shawl does, at about 98 grams.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eColour \u0026amp; material\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThree are left undyed, so the colour is the fibre's own — white, caramel and brown, as it comes off the goat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eCraft\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt our partner mill in Pathankot in northern India, the cashmere is spun into a fine yarn and woven on semi-automatic looms by skilled weavers. The mill employs more than 40 people.
