Tibetan nomad families have kept their herds in this landscape for generations, and the goats belong to them. We have worked with these families directly and in person since 2015, so we know where the fibre comes from and how it is gathered.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eSize \u0026amp; use\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt 110 × 220 cm this is larger than a classic pashmina scarf. It can be worn as a wide wrap or a shawl, or used over the shoulders indoors. The fibre is fine enough that the extra size adds warmth without much weight — the whole piece is about 140 grams.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eColour \u0026amp; material\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThree color tones are left undyed, so the colour is the fibre's own — white, caramel and brown, as it comes off the goat.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch4\u003eCraft\u003c\/h4\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAt our partner mill in Pathankot in northern India, the cashmere is spun into a fine yarn and woven on semi-automatic looms by skilled weavers. The mill employs more than 40 people.
