Origin
Our large scarf is made from 100% pure cashmere, gathered from Changthangi goats that live in the high country of Changthang, in the Himalaya. In this sparse, high-altitude landscape, Tibetan nomad families have tended their herds for generations, and the demanding conditions are exactly what give the fiber its prized fineness and softness. Through our ongoing, direct relationship with these partner families, we see for ourselves where the cashmere comes from and how it is gathered, and we make sure it happens responsibly and in step with the natural rhythms of the region.
Format & ways to wear
Thanks to its generous dimensions, this scarf can be worn many ways. Draped classically around the neck, knotted as a sash, or thrown loosely over the shoulders, it adds real warmth while staying light and easy to move in. In the traditional sense it is a classic pashmina: the full, standard pashmina size that wraps and layers the way a proper shawl should.
Color & material
This beautiful cashmere scarf comes in 20 shades. Three are kept completely natural and undyed, taking their color from nothing but the fiber itself. The other 17 are dyed in Germany with synthetic dyes, giving you a broad palette to choose from without altering the qualities that make the fiber so fine.
Craft
At our partner weaving mill in northern India, the cashmere is first spun into a fine yarn, then woven on power looms by skilled weavers into a light, soft scarf. Every piece passes through a sequence of precisely matched steps that combine long experience with careful, attentive work. The result is a fine cashmere scarf with the drape and handle you only get from fiber of this grade.
The CHANGTANGI scarves are one of a kind! Dreamily soft, truly refined quality — nothing compares. I can really highly recommend them!!

Our scarf are made from the pure changthangi cashmere from our nomad friends in Changthang. The cashmere is transported to Pathankot in the north of India. Here the cashmere is carded, spun and woven. This longterm relationship has grown over 30 years.
We love colors and the flexibility to react to new trend colors. That is why we brought the dyeing process back to Germany. The labour costs are slightly higher but we can totally control what chemicals we use to make the best results for you and the environment.
The shipping costs vary from country to country. For Germany we charge flat 6€.
