Origin
This small scarf is made from 100% pure cashmere, combed from Changthangi goats that live high on the Changthang plateau in the Himalaya. To survive the extreme cold climate at these altitudes, the goats grow an exceptionally fine, soft undercoat. That undercoat is the raw material for this scarf, and the fiber traditionally known as pashmina. So if you've been looking for a small pashmina, this is it: pashmina is simply the finest grade of cashmere, combed from these high-altitude goats. The goats are raised by Tibetan nomad families whose way of life has been shaped by this landscape for generations. We work with these families directly and in person, so we know the cashmere is gathered with care, responsibility, and respect for the goats and the land.
Color & material
This small scarf comes in 20 shades. Three are left completely natural and undyed, so their color is simply the fiber's own. The other 17 are dyed in Germany using synthetic dyes, which open up a far wider palette without compromising the fineness of the pashmina.
Craft
At our partner weaving mill in northern India, the fine cashmere (pashmina) is spun into a fine yarn and then woven by hand into a small scarf that's remarkably light and soft. Each piece moves through several carefully coordinated steps, bringing together generations of weaving experience and precise, attentive work.
Excellent service and a real focus on the customer! What impressed me most was that the owner even arranged an express courier to make sure my order arrived as quickly as possible. Very friendly communication, reliable handling, and exceptional dedication. Highly recommend!
